About the Business:

Forster Seafood 2428 is a new seafood restaurant opening shortly in Forster, NSW. Operated by ANDRAMOS PTY LTD, which manages multiple hospitality venues in the Forster region, the restaurant will offer a diverse seafood-focused menu, including fresh catch of the day, seafood pastas, grilled selections, and modern Australian coastal dishes.

The Role:

The business is seeking a full-time cook to support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced commercial environment. The role involves food preparation, cooking, maintaining quality standards, and supporting kitchen efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 1–2 years full-time, post-qualification experience as a Cook
Relevant commercial cookery qualification (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher)
Experience in a commercial kitchen environment
Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and split shifts
Commitment to a long-term, full-time position

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards
Assist in menu execution and daily food preparation
Ensure consistency in taste, portion control, and presentation
Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Follow and support HACCP and workplace health and safety procedures
Assist with stock control, storage, and stock rotation
Minimise waste and assist in controlling food costs
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, equipment, and workstations
Support senior chefs and assist in training junior staff when required
Required Skills and Attributes

Sound knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Preferred (Not Mandatory)

Experience in seafood preparation
Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency
