Il Forno is now looking for an experienced Cook to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items including traditional Italian and pizzeria-style dishes.
Ensure all meals are prepared to a high standard of quality, presentation, and taste.
Assist in the planning and development of menu items and daily specials.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, following food safety and hygiene standards.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Coordinate with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service during peak periods.
Comply with health, safety, and sanitation procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.
Ensure consistent portion sizes and reduce food waste through careful preparation.

About You:

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cook;.
Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, especially pizza preparation and wood-fired techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a high standard of service.
Strong team player with good communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen operations.
