They are committed to providing fresh, balanced meals prepared daily on-site in a modern, well-equipped kitchen.

You will work closely with educators and families to ensure each child's individual needs are met with care and attention.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Employ a variety of cooking techniques to ensure meals are both healthy and appealing to young children, focusing on appropriate textures, flavours, and presentations that encourage positive eating habits.
Kitchen & Compliance Management:
• Maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene always, strictly following the Food Safety Program, HACCP principles, and all relevant government regulations.
• Manage all aspects of food storage, including correct labelling, stock rotation, and temperature monitoring of fridges and freezers to ensure absolute freshness and minimise waste.
• Conduct daily and weekly inspections of the kitchen equipment and storage areas, upholding impeccable organisation and safety standards within the kitchen environment.
Administration & Collaboration:
• Manage kitchen inventory, conduct weekly stocktakes, and place accurate orders with suppliers to ensure efficient kitchen operation within a set budget.
• Build strong, communicative relationships with educators, centre management, and families, providing information about menus and addressing individual child dietary needs with professionalism and care.

• Comprehensive and practical knowledge of special dietary requirements, particularly those relating to common childhood allergies and anaphylaxis.
Personal Qualities:

• Impeccable personal and kitchen hygiene standards with an unwavering commitment to safety protocols.
• Outstanding organisational skills, including the ability to manage time effectively, work autonomously, and maintain meticulous documentation and record-keeping.
• A reliable, punctual, and positive team-player attitude, with a warm and caring nature that aligns with the values of a childcare setting.
