Full-Time Cook Required – Kallista Tea Rooms (The Verity Chariot)

Kallista Tea Rooms is currently seeking a qualified Full-Time Cook to join our friendly team. We are looking for someone who is creative, organized, and passionate about food.

Responsibilities
Report to the Executive Chef and/or Manager in charge
Assist with menu planning and costing in collaboration with the Executive Chef/Manager and owner
Prepare and cook food, catering to customers’ cultural and dietary needs
Create prep lists and ensure food and kitchen supplies are maintained
Cook a variety of dishes from our café menu using multiple cooking methods
Estimate food and labour costs as required
Monitor and maintain quality at all stages of food preparation
Ensure compliance with OH&S and food hygiene regulations
Assist with staff roster planning alongside the Executive Chef/Manager

Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a busy kitchen environment
Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery (with hands-on experience)
Flexible availability (weekdays and weekends)
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Solid understanding of OH&S and food safety requirements

Salary & Benefits
$74000 – $79000 per year + super (depending on experience)
Full-time, permanent contract
