On behalf of our client, we are advertising. Sirrom Corporation is looking for Cooks to join their team based in Queensland at various sites on a full time basis.
The Cook position is a hands-on role due to the size and nature of this business unit. The Cook is responsible in assisting the Chefs to prepare and present high quality meal service to pre-setformal operating standards with a high focus on professional,friendly interaction with both guests and staff.

Tasks/activities for the role:
- Preparation according to defined recipes
- Maintain food preparation and storage areas in a clean and hygienic fashion
- Carry out work safely to both company and statutory standards
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is working correctly, safely and is properly maintained
- Ensure proper grooming and hygiene
- Ensure the Sirrom Food Safety Plan is followed and verify all forms and records pertaining to this are filled incorrectly
- Complete, follow and maintain all company Quality,FoodSafety, Health & Safety and Environmental Management systems.
- Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
- Interact professionally and pleasantly with staff and guests.
- Work with other Chefs and Kitchen hands in a pleasant and supportive way.
- Prepare food economically and with minimal wastage.
- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of the food service.
- Consumable ordering activities as required.
- Stocktake activities as required.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Cert III Cook - Or relevant Trade qualification – (essential)
- Minimum 2 years previous experience as Cook
- Exceptional communication and relationship building abilities at all levels, developed team member principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound Knowledge of HACCP Food Safety Systems –high standards in food storage and preparation methods
- High attention to detail
- Developed time management skills
- Valid current Driver’s Licence

Location: Queensland
Salary : From $85,000 Per Annum
Position: Full time, Permanent
