We serve a variety of freshly prepared dishes made with locally sourced ingredients and pride ourselves on offering exceptional dining experiences to every guest. As our restaurant continues to grow, we are seeking a talented Cook to join our dedicated kitchen team.

Position: Cook – Full-Time
Salary: $76,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation

About the Role
The Cook will play a vital role in preparing and presenting a wide range of menu items while maintaining consistency, flavour, and quality. This role requires strong practical cooking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
2. Ensure all meals are prepared efficiently and presented attractively.
3. Check the quality, freshness, and portion sizes of ingredients before and during preparation.
4. Monitor food storage and rotation to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
5. Assist in menu planning and development, including specials and seasonal dishes.
6. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
7. Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance needs promptly.
8. Supervise and guide kitchen assistants or junior staff as required.
9. Comply with all workplace health and safety (WHS) and food handling regulations.
10. Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.

Skills & Experience
1. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
2. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
3. Sound knowledge of food preparation, portion control, and presentation techniques.
4. Strong understanding of food hygiene and WHS regulations.
5. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
6. Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
7. A positive attitude and passion for creating quality food.
