With steady trade and growing demand, we are seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team and support daily café operations.

Position: Cook – Full-Time
Salary: $76,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation

About the Role
The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items in line with café standards while supporting smooth kitchen operations. This is a hands-on role requiring efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook café menu items including breakfast, lunch, and daily specials.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation of all dishes.
- Assist with food preparation, mise en place, and service coordination.
- Monitor ingredient quality, freshness, and correct storage procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and stock rotation.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely service.

Skills & Experience
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
- 1 - 2 years of experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen or café environment.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to consistent food quality.
