On behalf of our client, we are advertising. Sirrom Corporation is a leading provider in hospitality services to theresource and construction sector. Established in 2013, we have a presence inmultiple remote locations throughout Australia. We have a small number of opportunities for experienced and passionate Cooks to join our kitchen team onour remote mine site village operations location in Western Australia regions.
If you have proven bulk cooking experience, have fly in fly out(FIFO) experience and can work well under pressure inamedium size kitchen, we would love to hear from you.
The Cook position is a hands-on role due to the size and natureof this business unit. The Cook is responsible inassisting the Chefs to prepare and present high quality meal service to pre-set formal operating standards with ahigh focus onprofessional, friendly interaction with both guests and staff.
Tasks/activities for the role:
- Preparation according to defined recipes
- Maintain food preparation and storage areas in a clean andhygienic fashion
- Carry out work safely to both company and statutorystandards
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is working correctly, safely and isproperly maintained
- Ensure proper grooming and hygiene
- Ensure the Sirrom Food Safety Plan is followed and verify allforms and records pertaining to this are filled incorrectly
- Complete, follow and maintain all company Quality, FoodSafety, Health & Safety and EnvironmentalManagementsystems.
- Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
- Interact professionally and pleasantly with staff and guests.
- Work with other Chefs and Kitchen hands in a pleasant and supportive way.
- Prepare food economically and with minimal wastage.
- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of the foodservice.
- Consumable ordering activities as required.
- Stocktake activities as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Cert III Cook - Or relevant Trade qualification – (essential)
- Minimum 2 years previous experience as Cook
- Exceptional communication and relationship building abilitiesat all levels, developed team member principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound Knowledge of HACCP Food Safety Systems – highstandards in food storage and preparation methods
- High attention to detail
- Developed time management skills
- Valid current Driver’s Licence
Location: Western Australia
Salary : From $85,000 Per Annum + Super
Position: Full time, Permanent
