  • The Data Center Capacity Delivery Asia-Pacific Controls Deployment and Service
  • (DCCD APAC CDS) team delivers and services the control systems which monitor and
  • ensure the health of our data centers. APAC CDS’ mission is to safely provide
  • our customers with the unmatched reliability, security, and performance that AWS
  • is known for. APAC CDS covers three core disciplines of controls deployments,
  • projects, and service, with five additional supporting disciplines in colocated
  • controls, systems, fleet, on-call support, and governance.

  • Controls Deployment & Service (CDS) Technicians support data center building
  • automation systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical
  • Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). In this role, you will deploy and service these
  • critical systems to ensure optimal data center health and performance.
  • Your responsibilities include deploying new BMS or EPMS installations during
  • data center construction, upgrading existing Amazon-owned or leased facilities,
  • and implementing Amazon hardware in colocated environments. You'll also provide
  • regional servicing expertise to our fleet or data centers in your region, and
  • occasionally support global operations.
  • Success in this position requires effective collaboration with multiple Amazon
  • teams, including Construction, Commissioning, Critical Projects, Data Center
  • Operations, Procurement, Program Management, Design, and Engineering teams.
  • You'll maintain strong vendor relationships that drive successful deployments
  • and operations.
  • Key job responsibilities
  • * Deploy and maintain critical systems: Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot BMS
  • and EPMS systems across multiple data centers, ensuring optimal performance
  • through diagnostics, programming, and hardware maintenance.
  • * Execute technical projects: Manage installations from server provisioning to
  • sensor calibration, supervise contractor work, and ensure all activities meet
  • AWS safety and quality standards.
  • * Drive operational excellence: Provide commissioning support, conduct root
  • cause analysis, create system documentation, and follow change management
  • processes to maintain system integrity.
  • * Enable team success: Mentor facilities teams on system operations, collaborate
  • with vendors on Factory Witnessed Tests, and recommend design improvements based
  • on operational insights.
  • * Deliver reliable service: Respond to emergencies, manage on-call rotations,
  • oversee service agreements, and prioritize work through ticketing systems to
  • maintain data center availability.

  • one year of experience with low and medium voltage electrical and/or mechanical
  • systems
  • • Basic understanding of industrial control systems and field signals
  • • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Preferred
  • Qualifications: • One year of experience working in a data center or
  • mission-critical environment
  • • ISA Certified Controls System Technician (CCST) Level I or higher
  • certification
  • • Basic knowledge of network design, low-voltage cabling (copper/fiber), and
  • building automation systems
  • • Understanding of data center infrastructure and operations
  • • Electrical license or trade certification
