About
We’re building The Poker Timer, www.thepokertimer.com a platform that helps poker hosts and players run and experience games at the next level. To support this, we want to create an educational, multi-step content piece titled: “How to Run a Medium Poker Tournament.” This will live on our site as a learning resource that guides poker hosts step-by-step through organising and running a tournament, delivers practical and engaging advice, and highlights how using The Poker Timer elevates the experience (making the content both educational and product-led). The work involves researching and structuring a clear, multi-step guide on running a medium-sized poker tournament. The writing should be educational, authoritative, yet approachable. Product moments should be integrated naturally—showing how our Poker Timer tool makes tournaments smoother, more professional, and more fun. You should also suggest supporting visuals or interactive elements. We will handle design, but your input on where and what to include is valuable. Deliverables include: a detailed content outline with table of contents, key steps, and supporting notes; final written content of around 1,500–2,000 words structured in digestible sections; recommendations for headings, subheadings, and calls-to-action; and suggestions on where to emphasize product benefits without losing the educational flow. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content design, content marketing, or instructional writing. Experience creating educational guides—preferably in gaming, sports, or SaaS—is highly valued. You should know how to balance value-driven content with subtle product integration. Poker knowledge is a bonus, but not essential if you are a strong researcher.
