Overview:
A major global pharmaceutical company is undertaking a large-scale marketing transformation initiative to implement a future-ready, scalable taxonomy framework that enables omnichannel content activation, campaign reporting, and performance measurement. With over $300M invested annually in content, the client is driving alignment across content, media, and analytics platforms—including DAM, CRM, and ad operations tools.
We’re seeking a highly experienced Content Taxonomy & Analytics Consultant to support this initiative. This role sits at the intersection of content and media, and the client is open to candidates with expertise in either domain or both, as responsibilities may be split across workstreams.
Key Responsibilities:
Taxonomy Expertise:
Deep experience developing enterprise-wide content taxonomy strategies (especially for DAM platforms). Need experience with the following:
Adobe DAM, CMS - creative tagging and tracking and asset management
Adobe Analytics - site tagging
Ad tech tracking and tagging - Google campaign manager, Meta Ads, Google Ads, etc.
Strong familiarity with metadata frameworks, controlled vocabulary design, and tagging logic
Experience defining taxonomy schemas for asset tagging across marketing content, media, and owned channels (email, web, social)
Media Analytics & Tagging Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with ad operations workflows, trafficking, and taxonomy requirements across DSPs, ad servers, and measurement platforms
Ability to align taxonomy frameworks with campaign analytics goals, including MMM, media mix, and omnichannel reporting
Fluency in tools and systems across media, analytics, and CRM platforms
Implementation Playbook & Governance:
Experience translating taxonomy strategy into implementation playbooks with phased migration plans
Ability to develop RACI charts and governance models for taxonomy evolution and change management
Experience supporting DAM metadata migration and post-launch optimization
Deliverables Support:
Input into current state assessment deck, taxonomy framework, governance model, and implementation playbooks for both content and media channels
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in content taxonomy, metadata strategy, or media analytics
Experience in pharma, health, or regulated industries is a strong plus but not required
Strong communication skills and comfort working with senior-level stakeholders and cross-functional global teams
