Based in Shepparton Victoria, J. Furphy and Sons service a diverse range of industries such as food, dairy, brewing, chemical, petroleum, water, and oil and gas, many of which have varying acceptance criteria for surface finish, code requirements and operating conditions that require careful consideration during the design and fabrication phases of the project.

We are currently recruiting for several qualified and experienced Construction Estimator to join our base at Shepparton VIC 3630.

Duties:

- Preparing accurate material and labour quantities and engage in the entire tender process.
- Conducting accurate project cost estimates.
- Reviewing all tender documentation and ensure they are up to date.
- Reporting discrepancies on tender documentation and raise RFI to client.
- Reporting on successful project bids.
- Maintaining up-to-date market knowledge to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborating with our Project Management Team to align bids with client expectations.
- Coordinating with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications Required:

- Degree qualification in engineering, construction management or a related field

Skills and Abilities:

- Proven experience as an Estimator in construction projects OR
- Strong computer skills with a building background.
- Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in construction software and Microsoft Office (Cubit and Procore experience a bonus).
- Strong communication, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to handle projects up to $20 million.

Relevant experience:

- Relevant estimation experience in commercial and residential construction.

Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
