We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety. Annual salary range: Commensurate with experience Employment type: Permanent / Ongoing Usual work location: 180 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne / Work from Home About the opportunity We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Compliance Advisor to join our team and support the Head of Compliance in embedding a comprehensive Compliance Management Framework. This role involves overseeing key elements such as Obligations, Controls, Incidents, Breaches, Corporate Policies, and Statutory Delegations of Authority. You will play a critical role in providing compliance guidance to ensure that regulatory and contractual standards are consistently upheld across all business operations, excluding Concession Deed obligations. About you A detail-oriented and analytical professional with 2-4 years of experience in compliance, legal, or risk management. Possesses a strong understanding of Compliance Management Frameworks and demonstrated ability to implement Obligation, Control, Incident, and Breach Management. You communicate effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You take a proactive approach to identifying risks and delivering practical solutions, always upholding the highest ethical standards. Flexibility to travel within regional Victoria is essential. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance processes Experience in risk assessment and mitigation Skilled in drafting and reviewing compliance policies and procedures Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Analytical mindset with attention to detail Commitment to ethical standards and integrity Our culture Innovation powers progress, but it doesn’t come without support. In August 2022 VicRoads embarked on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, and Macquarie to operate and modernise registration and licensing services on its behalf. The joint venture is a 40-year partnership where the Government retains ownership of VicRoads, and continues to control regulation, policy, data, and privacy provisions for VicRoads Registration and Licensing. The Government sets pricing and collects the revenue for essential registration and licensing fees, whilst also maintaining its roads and safety responsibilities.
