Commis Chef - Full Time - $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation

Working collaboratively with our passionate kitchen team to provide a high quality and consistent dining experience for our members and guests.

We are currently seeking experienced Commis Chef’s to join our team at Rich River Golf Club. Successful applicants will form part of the team that provides food services of the highest standard to members and guests as well as corporate events, weddings, conferences and private functions.

Duties & responsibilities:

All aspects of food production including but not limited to preparation, cooking, portioning, freezing and preserving food.
Work professionally in a high-pressure environment and meet required timeframes.
Ability to operate all designated sections of the kitchen including but not limited to grill, pans, fryers, cold larder, pastry, butchery and bain marie.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS regulations, policies and procedures.
Effectively clean all areas of the kitchen including, equipment, storage areas, fridges, deep fryers, and utensils at the end of each shift.
Ensure correct storage of food, equipment and utensils, and maintain an ordered and organised environment.
May supervise and train cooks, kitchenhands and apprentices, may supervise functions and other occasions as required.
Experience & attributes:

To be successful in this role you will have:

Trade qualification (minimum Certificate 3) and/or relevant experience.
A genuine passion for food and the hospitality industry.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work cooperatively and productively under pressure.
High level of hygiene standards and personal presentation.
Willingness to work rostered hours which will include weekends, evenings and some public holidays.
About us:

Rich River Golf Club opened in 1979 and is an iconic sporting club situated close to the Murray River and located in the twin towns of Echuca & Moama. The club boasts 36 holes of fully irrigated championship golf course and approximately 1700 golf members, a 64-room motel and a newly renovated Club facility with extensive food and beverage operations. We also operate a function centre, a large gaming room and mini golf course.
