About The Position:
The Commercial Lending Portfolio Manager is responsible for leading a team of assigned Commercial Financial Analysts and directing the day-to-day operations that support portfolio monitoring. This role ensures compliance with regulations and works with the Credit Administration Manager to implement commercial credit administration processes and strategies for the organization.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide leadership in risk management, analyzing potential risks associated with the loan portfolio, exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to risk rating the loan portfolio, and mitigating risk.
- Work with the Credit Administration Manager to evaluate the quality of lending policies and manage credit risk processes.
- Assess the creditworthiness of existing borrowers and potential borrowers if needed.
- Review, prepare, approve, and provide feedback on annual reviews, credit presentations, monthly credit updates and post-mortem analysis for senior management.
- Manage and provide daily direction to a team of commercial financial analysts.
- Evaluate the timeliness and quality of deliverables such as loan renewals, annual reviews, covenant compliance, quarterly watch list reviews, modification write-ups, delinquency reports, and collection efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Commercial Lending Experience
Skills & Competencies
- Lead and mentor a team of commercial Financial Analysts, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve departmental objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze financial trends and make recommendations
- Directs work and communicates effectively with the ability to build relationships with internal and external partners and work toward actionable strategies.
- Decision making
- Industry knowledge of commercial lending, prefer knowledge of USDA and SBA lending.
- Financial acumen
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of your job, you may regularly be required to sit and use a keyboard, multiple monitors, mouse, and telephone (including repetitive motions with hands, fingers, arms, etc.) for extended periods of time. You may also frequently be required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, bend, and kneel.
- You may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Location and Travel Requirements
- The Commercial Lending Portfolio Manager has the ability to work remotely. (excluding California, Colorado and Ohio)
- No travel required
Compensation & Benefits
- $85,000 - $130,000
- Medical, dental, and vision plans, where we cover 90% of employee costs and about 75% of the costs for their dependents
