  • Job Description
  • We're looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join our team on 12 Month Max-Term contract and provide crucial financial guidance and analysis for our sport productions, including major events like the Winter Olympics and NRL season.
  • This role is key to ensuring financial discipline and supporting senior leadership in making informed, strategic decisions that will drive the success of our Sport content strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes for sport productions.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring the accuracy of financial results.
  • Help prepare and track costs against detailed production budgets, including the Winter Olympics, Australian Open and NRL Season
  • Deliver insightful variance analysis to stakeholders, explaining deviations and identifying areas for action.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc analysis on cost trends, key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with sport leaders, translating financial data into actionable insights.
  • Qualifications
  • A qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).
  • Prior experience in business partnering with non-finance teams.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of core accounting principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes.
  • Exceptional organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels.
