  • As we expand our presence in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), we’re seeking an experienced Commercial Director to join our 9 person team. The team plans, builds and operates solutions and infrastructure based on open source for clients across all industries, and is an essential part of our 24/7 global managed services.
  • In this newly established role, you'll report to the Chief Strategy and Growth Officer in Switzerland, and build up and lead a team of dedicated sales specialists.
  • Success in this role requires a strategic and decisive mindset, strong business acumen and entrepreneurial drive, and a clear relationship focus.
  • Tasks
  • As Commercial Director, you’ll be responsible for the commercial performance and financial health of Adfinis ANZ. As part of the executive leadership team, you’ll also assume accountability for the overall success of the entity and act as a deputy for the Operations Director.
  • By converting market opportunity into revenue, partner-led demand, healthy margins, liquidity, and stronger regional brand credibility, you'll play a critical role in the company. You’ll collaborate closely with the delivery team, while engaging customers, local communities, and strategic partners.

Your tasks and duties will include

  • Sales (50%)
  • Developing and executing territorial sales plans
  • Generating leads, leading negotiations, and closing deals
  • Managing and growing key accounts
  • Steering pricing and commercial positioning
  • Partners (20%)
  • Managing partner relationships
  • Participating in partner programs and joint marketing activities
  • Coordinating partner-related communication
  • Marketing (10%)
  • Representing the company at external events
  • Producing marketing content (e.g., webinars, customer success stories)
  • Tracking and evaluating marketing activities
  • Finance (10%)
  • Preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
  • Overseeing payroll, invoicing, and accounts, accounting, tax, and filings
  • Managing cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk
  • Executive Lead (10%)
  • Orchestrating strategy execution across business domains
  • Making executive decisions about investments, staffing, and risk
  • Representing the company publicly and within the group
  • Requirements
  • Professional Background and Expertise
  • 5+ years experience in enterprise B2B (preferably IT services or infrastructure)
  • Experience with building brand recognition and nurturing a new client base from scratch
  • Established professional network in Australia and/or New Zealand
  • Expertise in building sales from early stage to repeatable revenue
  • Experience with public sector and regulated industry procurement and RFPs
  • Solid knowledge about open source technologies and vendors
