We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join our Grid Solutions Program team in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane office on a full-time basis for 18 months. The Grid Solutions team is delivering a multi-year digital transformation program to modernise the operation of our gas transmission assets, directly impacting APA’s core revenue and positioning us for long-term success. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our business and deliver meaningful change. Reporting to the Program Director - GSP, you will support governance, commercial management, and performance monitoring of our major technology partners, ensuring delivery remains on scope, budget, and quality targets. You will also contribute to the development of the next business case, identify cost optimisation opportunities, and translate performance insights into actionable recommendations. This role is well-suited to a commercially minded analyst with strong contract management, program governance experience, and the ability to influence outcomes through data-driven analysis. Key Responsibilities Monitor performance of major technology partners against contractual obligations, identifying risks and opportunities. Manage governance processes for contract variations and ensure alignment with agreed commercial terms. Track program performance against the current business case and contribute to the preparation of the next iteration. Monitor budget adherence and emerging risks, identifying and driving cost optimisation opportunities. Oversee program quality assurance, ensuring delivery meets agreed standards and scope. Support procurement activities, including vendor engagement and day-to-day contract management. Provide clear, data-driven reporting and insights to support decision-making across the program. About You Proven experience in commercial or financial analysis, contract management, or vendor governance within complex programs or technology environments. Strong understanding of program governance frameworks, quality assurance, and budget monitoring. Demonstrated ability to develop or update business cases and track delivery against defined outcomes. Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and present insights clearly to diverse stakeholders. Strong vendor and stakeholder management capabilities, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
