We have a Great Employment Opportunity for a CNC/ METAL MACHINIST to join our team of professionals on a full-time and permanent basis.

Position is based in ROCKHAMPTON, QLD, and if required DEPCO will offer FIFO Roster or assistance with relocation.

To succeed in this position, you will need:
To have industry related experience within similar positions,
A strong work ethic and strong safety focus.
The ability to carry out work with minimal supervision,
A keen and enthusiastic approach to your work and willingness to work overtime will help you ensure success in this role.
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments.
Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines.
Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
Carry out maintenance and machining as directed on company and, client assets.
To ensure safe and efficient work practices are adhered to at all times.
Perform routine and corrective maintenance, machining & project work in a heavy engineering or mining environment in a safe, legal and effective manner
Previous industry experience
Heavy mining equipment industry knowledge
Focuses on quality and workplace safety
Strong communication skills
Strong work ethic and values teamwork
