The Role Macquarie University Health is seeking an exceptional clinical and academic leader to take on the role of Program Head, Neurosciences. The role is responsible for the provision of clinical management and leadership of the Neuroscience Program at Macquarie University Hospital and the MQ Health Clinics. The role will provide strategic oversight pertaining to the development of best practice and innovative models of care and education. The appointed clinician will also participate in and facilitate the conduct of research, teaching and evidence-based practice within the discipline. For the further details, please email clinicans@mqhealth.org.au for a copy of the position description To Apply To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your cv and a 1-2 page cover letter: MBBS, MD or equivalent qualification and registration as a medical practitioner in a relevant specialty. Currently an Accredited Practitioner of Macquarie University Hospital. Record of sustained accomplishments, significant clinical practical experience and evidence of leadership and/or innovation in a relevant specialty under the Neurosciences Program. Commitment to education and research and extensive experience in at least one of these. Experience working in and/or managing a high performing multidisciplinary team. Proven superior level negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal) with a wide range of stakeholders including patients and other health professionals (public and private sector). Comprehensive knowledge of and commitment to effective clinical governance and promoting a culture of safety, quality, innovation and best practice in clinical practice, teaching and research. Commitment to uphold and be a steward of the Mission, Vision and Values of Macquarie University Health. This position requires criminal record, working with children and vaccination check clearances for NSW. Qualification checks may be required. Note: This position requires you to comply with occupational screening, assessment and vaccinations in line with Macquarie University Health requirements and requires a current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for NSW. You may also have to satisfy MQ Health that you meet all background checks (including criminal record and qualification checks).
