Civil Engineering Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing sketches, plans, 3D models and designs for engineering works such as drainage, water supply, sewerage reticulation systems, roads, airports, dams, bridges, and other structures
Performing all field work as well as data work in the office 
Interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures, and selecting equipment
Collecting and analysing data and carrying out computations. The providing clients with the data they require in the format they understand. 
Estimating costs and ensuring finished works are within specifications, regulations, and contract provisions
Providing clients with fee estimates for specific works 
Understanding of 3D Scanning Engineering works would be preferable, understanding how 3D Scanning works, the data it can provide clients and the registration process
Understanding of Revit and BIM Modelling 
Inspecting civil engineering works, and organising and supervising maintenance and repair work

Role Requirements:

Have a minimum of five years’ experience within a similar role
Experience with major engineering and infrastructure projects 
Experience using AutoCAD 
Experience in Cyclone would be advantageous 
Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
Have the ability to problem solve and effectively communicate with clients
