Position: Civil Engineering Technician – Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 + Superannuation

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to join our engineering and construction team. This role is essential in providing technical support, carrying out field and laboratory tests, preparing documentation, and assisting engineers in delivering residential development projects.

Key Responsibilities
1. Assist civil engineers with the design, planning, and execution of construction and infrastructure projects.
2. Conduct field and laboratory tests on construction materials, soils, and aggregates to ensure compliance with standards.
3. Collect, record, and analyse technical data to support project designs and specifications.
4. Prepare sketches, diagrams, and technical drawings for engineering plans.
5. Set out, survey, and measure sites for construction and excavation works.
6. Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety codes, and environmental regulations.
7. Estimate material quantities, costs, and prepare project documentation.
8. Operate and maintain survey and testing equipment.
9. Provide technical guidance and support to tradespeople and site staff as required.
10. Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Skills & Experience
1. Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a civil engineering technician role.
3. Proficiency in using surveying equipment and testing instruments.
4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards.
5. Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and plans.
6. Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
8. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
