Job Description
Midwest Rural Services is seeking 100 seasonal horticulture workers for citrus picking, processing, and packing. Work will be carried out across orchards and packing sheds in Moora, Gingin, and Bindoon, within the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia.
Main Duties
Picking and harvesting citrus fruit
Processing and packing citrus fruit
General orchard and packing shed duties
Following safety instructions and adhering to work procedures
Employment Details-
Start Date: 7 April 2026
Duration: Minimum of 6 months (full season commitment required)
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, with work generally performed Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00pm, depending on seasonal requirements
Some weekend work may be required during peak harvest
Award: Horticulture Award 2020
Pay Rate: $30.35 per hour (casual)
Pay Frequency: Processed weekly
Required Attributes
Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg
Self-motivated and reliable
Able to work outdoors in a range of weather conditions
Willing to work weekends when required
Able to work quickly, follow instructions, and meet productivity expectations
Good communication and teamwork skills
Additional Information
Workers must be able to commit to the full harvest season
Further training/upskilling may be available to successful candidates
