About the job

We are looking for a full-time qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a qualified Child Care Worker- Group Leader. You will be an experienced, passionate, and dedicated individual.

You will have a strong focus on quality, and the drive to develop strong relationships with families, have strong leadership skills, and be passionate about developing a creative learning environment for our children. Your priority and the main focus is to ensure the highest level of care and educational opportunities.

You need to have experience with direct management of what happens in the room. You will have to ensure that staff who work in your room are working in accordance with policy and procedures, as well as this you will need to ensure they are included in planning and programming.

assist in the preparation of materials and equipment to support children& learning and development.
maintain observations and records of individual children's progress, particularly those identified through staff observation.
provide education and care for babies, toddlers and children
support and supervise children daily routine, including health and safety
develop positive and respectful relationships with children
liaise with families in regard to the day to day happenings.
co-operate and communicate effectively with parents about their child-care needs.
promote good parent / Centre relationships
.• promote and maintain positive working relationships with other staff.

actively support and co-operate with other staff in their child-care duties
encourage parental involvement in the Childcare program.
ensure a safe environment is maintained for staff and children, with particular attention to children with anaphylaxis, allergies, asthma etc.
ensure that accurate records are kept in regards to accident, incident, injury, illness and medication.
•The appropriate books/records are to be checked on a regular basis to ensure ongoing compliance.

ensure staff are aware of current thinking and practice in early childhood education, and service delivery.
mentoring students on practical placement.
•Provide verbal and written feedback to aid reflective learning.

Role Requirements (qualifications):

Diploma in Children services or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis and CPR Certificates
Minimum two years experience and confidence within the Early Education industry
•Understanding of the NQF, NQS & EYLF

•A sense of humour

•Ability to be flexible

•Open to new ways of thinking and working

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Genuine care for children& wellbeing & health.

•Knowledge in using XPLOR is a must

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
