About the Position:
As a Child Care Worker at Nan's Early Learning Centre, you will play a vital role in providing nurturing, high-quality care and education to children aged 0–5 years, contributing directly to their physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development in a supportive 'home away from home' setting. Working as part of a dedicated team under experienced management, you will assist in implementing play-based educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework, while ensuring children's safety, well-being, and positive daily experiences. This position is essential in upholding the centre's reputation as a family choice for genuine, respectful care and helping children grow as capable, confident learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the well-being and safety of all children by maintaining vigilant supervision during activities, playtime, and rest periods.
Provide nurturing, developmentally appropriate care for children aged 0–5 years.
Support the planning and implementation of educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Develop and execute age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Assist children with daily tasks such as dressing, feeding, and maintaining personal hygiene, including diapering for infants and toddlers.
Implement positive behaviour management strategies to guide children's behaviour, promoting respect, sharing, and cooperation among peers.
Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns, ensuring a collaborative approach to each child's development.
Ensure that the childcare environment is clean, organised, and safe, including sanitising toys and play equipment regularly.
Keep accurate records of each child's activities, progress, and any incidents, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with organisational policies.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or related field.
Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
Valid Working with Children Check.
At least one year of experience as a child care worker.
Strong interpersonal skills to build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
Ability to implement positive behaviour guidance and support inclusive, developmentally appropriate practices.
Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organised environment.
