Our client THE RILEY SEVEN PTY LTD T/A Pasture & Co are looking for qualified and experienced full-time Cooks and Chefs to join our busy team in Currumbin Valley, QLD!

About You – Cook/Chef:

Cook position: AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV and have at least 1 – 3 years’ experience. Experience can substitute for qualification.

Chef position: You will hold a AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma or higher and have at least 1 – 3 years’ experience. Experience can substitute for qualification.

Cook – your responsibilities will include:
• examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
• regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• preparing and cooking food
• seasoning food during cooking
• portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
• storing food in temperature controlled facilities
• preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• may plan menus and estimate food requirements
• may train other kitchen staff and apprentices

Chef – your responsibilities will include:
• planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
• monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
• demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
• preparing and cooking food
• explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
• may select and train staff
• may freeze and preserve foods

Remuneration on offer between $76,515 to $85,000 plus superannuation depending on experience. Please apply with your CV.
