Located in the heart of Bankstown NSW, Al Faisal Mandi offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, delivering personal, attentive service and exceptional dining experiences. The restaurant features ultra modern Italian and Mediterranean cuisine presented in an elegant dine in setting.

We are seeking 2 full time Chefs to join our kitchen team and support the leadership of our culinary operations. The salary range is $77,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

Duties & Tasks
• Prepare signature items and dishes as well as dietary orders
• Daily guidance, coordination, and supervision for the kitchen staff and juniors
• Develop recipes and trial various presentation styles whilst maintaining signature flavors, freshness, and nutritive value.
• Plan daily menus and specials, and ensure the presentation is of the highest order
• Work closely with the management to plan menus and determine costings for events and functions.
• Quality controls the freshness of food, poultry, seafood, and ingredients
• Identify and respond to the industry trends as well as local competition
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
• Stock orders, stock control and food circulation for maximising their lifespan
• Train and lead subordinates on daily tasks and provide mentorship as required
• Coordinate and participate with other sections on compliance and wastage

Skills Required
You should ideally have a Diploma plus Certificate IV in Cookery, or at least 3 years of proven industry experience. At least 2 years of experience will be highly regarded. You should demonstrate sound culinary knowledge, leadership skills and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
