NORTH RYDE R S L COMMUNITY CLUB LTD known as NORTH RYDE RSL is looking for full time Chef, Cook or Chef for their busy venue.
North Ryde RSL offers a varied and welcoming dining scene that caters to everything from casual coffee catch-ups to more formal evening meals. At The Marble Café, you’ll find a cozy setting for light meals think freshly baked pastries, cakes and sandwiches, paired with quality coffee and artisan teas.
For more substantial fare, Riverviews Bar & Dining showcases a seasonal, modern Australian menu, ideal for lunch or dinner, with specials like steak, schnitzel and fish, and a strong drinks list to match. They also host weekly night specials and themed food & beverage events to mix things up. Whether you’re with family, friends or out for a date, the club’s dining offerings combine quality food, flexible ambience & a friendly, inclusive environment.

To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification and at least 1-2 years' experience in a similar position.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Must display excellent prep, cooking and plating skills
- Strong emphasis on quality and consistency of dishes
- Demonstrate a keen Interest in growing food trends and techniques
- Ability to contribute to menu planning, food cost estimation and food cost control
- Work with the management team on food preparation and seasonal menu planning
- Stock ordering
- Labour cost control and assist the owners with rostering
- A sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS
- Immaculate presentation and grooming
- Ability to handle large service numbers
- Above average customer care and service skills
- Must be able to train our junior team on cooking techniques and procedures
- Assist with staff hiring and training
- Experience with Asian cuisine or Wok cooking is highly desirable
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
- Discuss customer requirements and request with the frost on house team
