About the Role:
We are looking for a qualified Chef De Partie to join our fabulous team. The position will be reporting our Head Chef/Sous Chef and management, and the key responsibilities are as below but not limited to:
• Actively liaise with the management in the creation of menus and preparing and supervising the production of approved menus.
• Maintaining a smooth flow in the kitchen, ensuring timely, high-quality preparation of food and prompt client services.
• Maintain food quality, follow food handling and hygiene practices,
• Assisting in the development of menus and costings, including week special dish as per customer demand.
• Prioritising orders and preparation for general service as well as function catering,
• Training and mentoring kitchen staff on culinary techniques and standards where required.
• Coordinating with other chefs at various locations within the same company,
• Contacting suppliers and merchants as required
• Supervising and coordinating the kitchen's operation, food preparation requirements, and waste management.
• Rotating stock, ordering, and maintaining food stock, food portion control, waste management, and stock purchase (receipt and storage).
• Adhering to the Australian food and safety health standards and codes of practice.
About You
Successful candidates will have the following.
• Proven experience of a minimum of two years in a commercial cooking environment
• Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery)
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills to motivate and manage a team.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• High standard of food and personal hygiene
• An understanding of food costs and budget management
• A Safety-first approach is essential.
• Able to manage a busy work environment.

Job Type: Full Time, permanent
Salary: AUD 77,000 annually plus superannuation
