Callao Restaurant is an exciting Japanese - Peruvian venue opened in Barangaroo, run by the same group as Alegre Bar and Dining.

Callao invites diners to encounter the Nikkei cuisine melting hearts across the globe. This is food inspired by the elements and ignited by two cultures who came together to create something remarkable. Callao combines classic ingredients and intricate techniques to create dishes that are at once diverse and intriguing, familiar yet unknown. With an extensive wine list and cocktails that infuse tastes from Tokyo to Lima.

Brief Summary of Responsibilities & Skills Required:

Mise-en-place preparation and freshness.

Ensuring that all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.

Cooking and service of food according to the restaurant’s quality and service standards .

Training of kitchen staff as directed by Chef-in-charge.

Safety and cleanliness of all duties across the kitchen and food storage areas.

Ensuring high levels of kitchen team performance.

Contributing to creating a harmonious environment amongst all staff within the restaurant.

Additional Candidate Experience & Qualifications to Note

Minimum, 2-3 years’ experience within a similar role.

Passionate about cooking

Punctual and hard-working

Enthusiasm and willingness to learn

Team player and supportive of a culture of teamwork
