They are seeking a qualified Chef to join their team. As a Chef, the successful candidate will be at the heart of the kitchen, crafting dishes that capture the essence of traditional South Asian cuisine. This role will work closely with the team to maintain high standards of taste, presentation, and efficiency while adding their own creative flair.

The annual salary for the Chef position is $76,500 - $78,500.

Duties include:

• Preparing and cooking a variety of Indian and Pakistani dishes, especially biryanis, curries, and grilled items.

• Managing daily kitchen operations, including prep, storage, and cleanliness.

• Maintaining consistent flavour, texture, and portion standards.

• Collaborating with the team to introduce new recipes and seasonal specials.

• Upholding food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards at all times.

• May train and mentor junior kitchen staff to maintain performance and consistency.

• Monitoring ingredient levels and assisting with stock rotation and inventory control.

• Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and reporting any issues promptly.

• Assisting with menu planning, costing, and portion control to optimise profitability.

• Maintaining clear communication with front-of-house staff for smooth service coordination.

• Overseeing quality checks during peak hours to ensure timely and accurate orders.

• Supporting management with catering orders and special event preparations.

Qualifications:

• Must have two (2) years of experience.

• Should possess a Certificate IV in hospitality.

• Should have Indian and Tandoori knowledge and experience.
