About Company AA Enterprises AUS Pty Ltd T/A Hecho en Mexico Yarraville We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Full-Time Chef to join our team at Hecho en Mexico Yarraville. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all aspects of kitchen operations. Design food presentation and decorative displays. Inspect and evaluate raw ingredients for freshness and quality. Prepare dishes on the restaurant menu while maintaining up-to-date culinary skills. Plan menus, forecast ingredient needs, and manage stock. Monitor budgets and cost controls, including labour and food costs. Lead, train, and support kitchen staff including cooks, kitchen hands, and waitstaff. Prepare and process raw ingredients using various cutting and marinating techniques. Meet with customers to design menus for special events. Operate and regulate kitchen equipment, ensuring proper temperature control. Maintain high food quality and presentation standards. Gather feedback from patrons to drive continuous improvement. Implement efficient food storage and preservation practices. Prepare sauces, condiments, and garnishes to complement dishes. Enforce hygiene, food safety, and OHS procedures. Collaborate with management and staff to enhance quality, efficiency, and service. About You: Minimum of 1 year of experience (2–3 years preferred). Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery . Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Results-driven, with a confident and professional approach. Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to changing schedules. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards. Salary & Benefits: An attractive salary package of $75,000–$85,000 per year plus 12% superannuation will be offered, depending on skills and experience.
