About

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and update menus, including seasonal specials.

- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes, ensuring top-notch taste and presentation.

- Ensure exceptional presentation of dishes, meeting our high standards.

- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including line and prep cooks, for a smooth operation.

- Manage kitchen supplies and ingredients, ensuring proper stock rotation and efficient use.

- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards for a clean, safe kitchen environment.

- Assist the Head Chef with kitchen operations, issue resolution, and staff scheduling.

- Coordinate with front-of-house to ensure seamless service and handle special customer requests.

- Contribute to menu development with new dish ideas and recipe testing.

Requirements:

- At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen.

- Certificate IV in commercial cookery and Diploma in hospitality preferred.

- Strong culinary skills with a keen eye for detail and presentation.

- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

- Ability to work under pressure and handle kitchen challenges effectively.

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
