The Hotel Orange is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. We are looking for someone with proven experience in both fine dining and pub-style food, who can bring creativity, consistency, and leadership to our culinary operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and cook high-quality meals across fine dining and pub-style menus.
Ensure all dishes are presented with excellent quality, taste, and consistency.
Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards.
Develop and design seasonal menus and specials in consultation with management.
Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards.
Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise wastage.
Work collaboratively with management to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Qualification & Experience Requirements
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management (essential).
Minimum 2–3 years of proven recently/current experience as a Chef.
Demonstrated experience in both fine dining and pub-style kitchens.
Strong leadership, time management, and organisational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
