Doaba Indian Curry House (Spicy Connections Pty Ltd) is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. Located in Thornlie, we are a locally owned Indian restaurant providing authentic Indian cuisine to the residents of Thornlie, Huntingdale, Maddington, Gosnells, Langford, Canning Vale and surrounding areas.
Our restaurant combines the authentic taste of India with a stylish presentation, creating a unique balance of tradition and comfort. We pride ourselves on preparing freshly made dishes using authentic Indian spices and herbs to deliver rich, mouth-watering flavours and aromas that cannot be replicated by generic curry powders.

About the Role
As a Chef at Doaba Indian Curry House, you will:
• Plan and prepare authentic Indian dishes with attention to flavour, presentation, and consistency.
• Develop and introduce new dishes based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients.
• Manage food preparation, cooking and quality standards in a busy kitchen environment.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of hygiene and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and occupational health & safety requirements.
• Contribute to menu planning and cost control for long-term business growth.

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Chef in Indian cuisine, or
• Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery (Certificate IV or equivalent) with 1 year full-time experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and traditional cooking techniques.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional dining experiences.
