Baptist Camping Victoria (BCV) is seeking an experienced and passionate Full-Time Chef to join our Food Services Team at Camp Wilkin and Burnside Camp in Anglesea. This is a key leadership role within our kitchen team, responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to a wide range of school, church, and community groups.

This is a full-time, ongoing position working 38 hours per week on a rotating roster across 7 days, including weekends and split shifts. The salary range is $75,000–$80,000 per annum (base salary, exclusive of superannuation), in line with the level of responsibility and the skills required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious and high-quality meals
• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, weekend cooks, volunteers, and an apprentice chef
• Oversee food service during shifts to ensure a welcoming and efficient dining experience
• Manage dietary requirements and food allergies with care and professionalism
• Monitor stock levels and assist with food ordering and inventory management
• Ensure full compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety regulations
• Work collaboratively with the Food Services Coordinator and Camps Manager to plan and adjust menus
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen, including oversight of deep cleaning and storage
• Foster a warm, welcoming environment for campers and staff, contributing to BCV’s community-focused mission

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Experience in large-scale catering or camp/school environments
• Strong understanding of dietary and allergen management
• Proven leadership and organisational skills in a kitchen setting
• Excellent communication skills and a team-focused mindset
• Flexibility to work varied hours across a 7-day roster
At least 12 months experience working as a chef

Additional requirements include:
• Food Safety Supervisor Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid Employee Working With Children Check (Victoria)
• National Police Check
• Willingness to support the ethos and values of BCV
