We are looking for a full-time Chef to join the team.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, hands-on chef ready to take the lead in a fast-paced, lakeside organic kitchen in Bokarina on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. We offer a diverse menu focused on Organic, quality and fresh, seasonal ingredients and are known for our warm atmosphere and loyal local following. We cater to gluten-free, Vegan, Vegetarian, Keto, and paleo diets and do not use any seed oils, preservatives, or artificial ingredients. This position is a full-time, ongoing position.

Main Tasks:

- Food Preparation: Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes, ensuring high quality and timely service.
- Menu Development: Assisting the owner in developing new menu items and recipes
- Waste Management: Taking care with portions and waste to minimize costs and maintain profits.
- Stock Control
- Follow health, safety and hygiene practices and procedures.
- Troubleshooting: Helping to identify and resolve any kitchen issues that may arise

Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:

- Diploma of Hospitality Management / Kitchen management
- A minimum 1 year’ experience in a high-volume café or restaurant

Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:

- Proven leadership in managing the kitchen by themselves when needed and working as a team while offering fast and quality service.
- Excellent skills in menu design to create specials and seasonal menus.
- Passion for quality, consistency, and creative flair.
- Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Reliable, friendly and to be able to work alongside the owner closely to improve and design menus and service.
- High standards of cleanliness with the workspace.

Annual salary will be between $75,000.00 to $78,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
