On behalf of a Pastizzi Cafe Pty Ltd, we are conducting a search for a dedicated and skilled Chef for their renowned culinary team.

Position Responsibilities and Tasks:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the kitchen’s operations; includes instruct cooks and otherworkers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food;
- Analyse recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labour, and overhead costs; • Developrecipes and determine how to present the food to the customers and create decorative food displays;
- Determine production schedules and staff requirement;
- Give practical exhibition of different techniques of cooking various dishes.
- Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients;
- Inspect supplies,equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality;
- Keep up with the industry trends and create new recipes in collaboration with the Cook;
- Approve and polish dishes before they reach to the customer;
- Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages;
- Interviewing, hiring and training new staff;
- Ensuring correct stock rotation procedures are followed;
- Implementation of health and safety procedures in the kitchen;
- Taking care of kitchen’s accounts and creating a work roster;
- To ensure that kitchen maintenance problems are promptly reported;
- Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standard.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Qualifications in a related area.
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience.
- Excellent time management abilities.
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes.
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations.

Salary:
The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $90,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
