Experience Needed
1. Hospitality Management: Previous experience in managing a motel, hotel, or similar hospitality establishment is required.
2. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team, including housekeeping and maintenance staff.
3. Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle guest inquiries, complaints, and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
4. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage reservations, budgets, and daily operations efficiently.
5. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with reservation and property management software, as well as basic computer skills.
6. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
7. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly and effectively resolve issues that may arise with guests or the property.
8. Health and Safety Knowledge: Understanding of relevant health and safety standards to ensure compliance.
9. Friendly and Approachable Demeanor: A positive attitude and the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Guest Services:
o Managing reservations, check-ins, and check-outs.
o Handling guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests.
o Ensuring a high level of customer service and guest satisfaction.
2. Staff Management:
o Supervising housekeeping and maintenance staff.
o Training new employees.
3. Property Maintenance:
o Conducting regular inspections of rooms and common areas.
o Coordinating repairs and maintenance work.
o Ensuring the property is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
4. Compliance and Safety:
o Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations.
o Implementing and maintaining safety protocols and procedures.
5. Administrative Tasks:
o Maintaining accurate records and reports.
o Ordering supplies and managing inventory.
o Handling correspondence and communication with vendors and partners.
o Managing all day to day on our property management software
6. Community Engagement:
o Building relationships with local businesses and tourism organizations.
A core focus of this position is the hands-on responsibility for room cleaning and preparation, which will account for approximately 50% of your duties. Experience in maintaining impeccable cleanliness standards is essential, as you'll be directly involved in making sure all guest rooms are spotless, comfortable, and ready for arrivals. Your attention to detail and efficiency in cleaning tasks will play a critical role in shaping the overall guest experience.
