High-End Architectural Residential Renovations

Role Overview

The Carpenter is responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry works across residential renovation projects. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Carpenters are expected to uphold company standards for quality, safety, and professionalism while supporting apprentices and working under the direction of the carpentry foreman or builder.

Key Responsibilities
Carpentry Works

Carry out all aspects of carpentry across renovation projects, including:

Set-out

Framing

Structural works

Fix-out and finishing

Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings

Ensure works comply with plans, specifications, NCC, and Australian Standards

Deliver a high level of finish consistent with high-end residential work

Site Operations

Work efficiently to meet programme and sequencing requirements

Coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth workflow

Maintain clean, organised, and safe work areas

Look after tools, equipment, and materials

Quality, Safety & Compliance

Follow all WHS policies and safe work procedures

Identify and report hazards or site issues

Carry out quality control on own work and assist with defect rectification

Maintain professional site behaviour and presentation

Teamwork & Mentoring

Support and guide apprentices in learning correct carpentry methods

Communicate clearly with foremen, builders, and other trades

Contribute positively to site culture and teamwork

Minimum Requirements

Trade-qualified Carpenter

Solid experience in residential construction or renovations

Ability to work independently and follow direction

Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

White Card

Valid driver’s licence

Desirable Attributes

Experience on high-end or architecturally designed projects

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to take initiative and responsibility for own work

Professional attitude and reliability

Interest in progressing into a leading hand or foreman role
