Job description:

-Interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings to determine job specifications.

-Measure and mark out cutting and assembly lines on construction materials.

-Construct frameworks including walls, floors, doors, windows, staircases, and roofs.

-Build formwork and structures for concrete placement.

-Assemble prepared wood and other materials to form structures and fittings.

-Install fixtures such as cupboards, shelving, skirting boards, and partitions.

-Repair and maintain wooden structures and fixtures.

-Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.

-Maintain compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.

-Perform manual handling duties and operate machinery or equipment when required.

-Cooperate with site supervisors, safety officers, and tradespeople to ensure timely and safe project delivery.

Qualifications/Attributes:

-Must hold a relevant Certificate III in Carpentry, or at least 3 years of experience in lieu of qualifications.

-Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience.

-Proficient knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and tools

-Competent in reading and interpreting plans and technical drawings.

-Knowledge of building codes and safety standards.

-Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

-Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $110,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
