Responsibilities:

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine dimensions, materials, and installation procedures.
Order, prepare, and select timbers and other materials with precision.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and related materials using both hand and power tools.
Construct framework, roof framing, sub-flooring, and floorboards to meet structural requirements.
Install doors, windows, frames, flooring, and decorative finishes.
Fit exterior wall cladding, nail fascia panels, and sheath roofs.
Assemble and install wooden structures and fittings.
Construct concrete formwork as needed.
Cut and shape joints for assembling wooden structures and fittings.
Perform renovations and repairs on existing structures and fittings.
Work with diverse materials, including wood, plywood, wallboard, laminates, perspex, and metals.
Ensure all carpentry work complies with building codes and safety standards.
Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and team members to complete projects on time.
Skills & Qualifications:

AQF Certificate III in Carpentry + 2 years of on-the-job training, OR AQF Certificate IV in Carpentry (or related field).
Proven experience as a Carpenter.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, construction methods, and materials.
Skilled in safe and effective use of various hand and power tools.
Flexible to work on a rotating roster and adaptable to project requirements.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
