Salary: $85k - $90k Plus 12% Superannuation

Our client, LL Timber Frame & Truss Pty Ltd t/a LL Frame and Truss, is a trusted supplier of precision-engineered timber frames and trusses across NSW. Backed by the founder’s 23+ years of experience in the industry, LL Frame and Truss has built a reputation for delivering quality, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions to the renowned builders.

The company specializes in prefabricated timber wall frames, roof trusses, laminated veneer lumber, flooring systems, and eaves packages, using Pryda Engineering Software to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. With a strong mission to provide outstanding service at competitive rates, LL Frame and Truss continues to expand its operations across NSW.

The client is currently seeking an experienced Carpenter with a strong background in residential construction and prefabrication. This is a key role that contributes to the delivery of high-quality frames, trusses, and custom timber solutions where precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are critical.

Key Responsibilities:
• Execute carpentry tasks with a focus on quality workmanship, company standards, and safety.
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, materials, and processes.
• Contribute to the assembly, installation, and repair of structural timber components including frames, trusses, flooring, and wall systems.
• Prepare sketches, estimate costs, and order materials required for projects.
• Cut, shape, and assemble timber components to exacting standards.
• Maintain and operate carpentry tools and machinery in safe, efficient condition.
• Fit and install door/window frames and other prefabricated structures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Australian building codes, safety standards, and environmental practices.
• Work collaboratively with other trades, engineers, and clients to deliver timely outcomes.

Skills & Qualifications:
• AQF Certificate III in relevant trade including 2 years on job training or AQF Certificate IV in carpentry.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time work experience in carpentry.
• Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential projects
• Strong technical knowledge of the building and construction industry
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans and blueprints
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

The Successful Applicant

You would be required to work in a team environment and would be expected to take on a variety of tasks. You would be required to work at times under pressure and timelines and be available to work in different areas if and when the need arises. The applicant must have an OHS white card and previous experience, preferably in the construction industry.
