As a Carpenter at Best Choice Contracting, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of structural and finishing carpentry tasks across residential and commercial construction projects. This position requires strong technical ability, precision workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently within a team-driven environment.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Construct, install and repair structural frameworks including walls, floors and roof systems using timber and other materials
• Interpret and work from architectural drawings, blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate construction outcomes
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble building materials with precision using both hand and power tools
• Install doors, windows, cabinetry, skirting, architraves and other internal and external fittings
• Undertake framing, formwork, cladding and decking installations in accordance with project requirements
• Perform renovations, alterations and repair works on existing residential and commercial structures
• Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to ensure projects are delivered on schedule
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations and Work Health & Safety requirements
• Inspect completed work to ensure alignment with quality standards and rectify any defects
• Maintain tools, equipment and materials in safe and operational condition
• Assist with site preparation, material handling and general construction tasks where required
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised and safe worksite environment

Qualifications and Skills:

• Relevant qualification.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Carpenter
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques and building materials
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans and documentation
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Salary:
The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 – $100,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
