About the role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Café Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our café. In this role, you’ll ensure exceptional food and beverage service while creating meaningful training and work opportunities for young people and volunteers. You will play a key role in driving business growth, operational excellence, and youth development — all while upholding the values of Oasis Youth Services and The Salvation Army. This is a permanent full-time position based at Oasis Central Coast, Wyong NSW. Salary is in accordance with Hospitality Award Level 5 How you will make an impact Oversee daily front-of-house and back-of-house café operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards Drive business growth by identifying sales opportunities, attracting customers, and enhancing their experience Manage stock, ordering, and inventory to minimise waste and maximise cost efficiency Monitor budgets, financial performance, and reporting to meet revenue and expense targets Lead, mentor, and support café staff, students, and volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture Deliver practical and classroom-based vocational training and learning experiences Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and operational standards Maintain café cleanliness and safety in line with industry and organisational requirements Continuously monitor and improve café performance through data and feedback Build strong relationships with community members, stakeholders, and suppliers Prepare accurate reports on operations, financials, and performance What you will bring Commercial Cookery or Hospitality qualification Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable) Minimum 3 years’ experience in the hospitality industry Proven experience supervising trainees or students Experience as a vocational trainer (highly desirable) Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills Commitment to youth development and social enterprise values What we offer The Salvos offer eligible employee's a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including: Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.
