With operations based out of our head office in Minchinbury, a large-scale manufacturing facility in Wagga Wagga, and a production hub in Melbourne, As a Cabinet Maker with Adaptive Joinery, you’ll play a vital role in crafting high-end, custom joinery solutions that support regional businesses and enhance commercial environments. With experience in working with a range of materials, from timber to engineered wood products, you’ll be responsible for creating, assembling, and installing bespoke cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms and more. Responsibilities and Tasks:
Interprets drawings, work orders, and sample parts to determine precise specifications for each project.
Selects and works with a variety of materials such as timber, veneers, particle board, and synthetic or engineered wood products.
Programs and operates computer-aided design (CAD) and computer numerical control (CNC) machines to cut, shape, and mark components with precision.
Works from detailed plans and specifications to craft custom cabinets and furniture for various residential and commercial projects.
Installs custom cabinetry in kitchens, bathrooms, and commercial fit-outs, ensuring a perfect fit and finish.
Creates specialized fittings for boats, caravans, and other unique items where attention to fine detail is essential.
Assembles individual parts to form complete cabinet sections and furniture pieces.
Applies protective coatings and finishes to cabinetry and furniture to enhance durability and appearance.
Installs hardware including hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves, and other accessories to complete furniture.
Crafts frames for chairs, couches, and other furniture pieces, and may undertake the restoration or reproduction of antique furniture.

Relevant qualifications or equivalent industry experience
A minimum of one years' experience in a similar role.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and project managers.
Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring precision in the creation, assembly, and installation of custom cabinetry.
Proficient in using a range of woodworking tools, machinery, and CAD/CNC equipment for accurate and efficient production.
Full-time and permanent position.
Salary: $75,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation
You should be permitted to work in Australia unrestricted.
