About the role
- The Business Insights Analyst designs, builds, and maintains interactive dashboards, reports, and analytical models that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across the organisation. The role works closely with finance and transformation teams to support strategic initiatives and enable data-driven decision-making. It contributes to long-term value creation for CDC to allow us to be scalable and to lead with data driven decisions.
Other responsibilities include
- Design and develop dashboards (Power BI) tailored to business needs, including finance, sales, development, and property, with a focus on usability and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business problems into data-driven solutions and actionable insights.
- Coach and train users across the business in Power BI and self-service analytics, fostering data literacy and adoption.
- Build and maintain structured data models and tables, ensuring clean, reliable datasets and scalable reporting frameworks.
- Drive business insights and reporting automation, streamlining processes and improving efficiency through smart dashboarding and data visualisation.

About you
- This role would be suitable for a candidate who has strong experience in business intelligence and enjoys turning data into meaningful insights for stakeholders. You would naturally thrive in fast-paced environments and collaborating across teams to deliver data driven solutions.
- Previous experience in BI development with proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Python and/or other tools for data manipulation.
- Proven experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and SQL Server is essential, with familiarity in other cloud data warehousing platforms highly regarded.
- Strong storytelling and data visualisation skills to communicate insights effectively
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret, and make data-driven recommendations.
Essential
- Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
