Job Title: Bookkeeper Needed for Small Business & Accounts Cleanup Job Description: We are a small business seeking an experienced bookkeeper to help organize and maintain our financial records. Our accounts need some cleanup and proper structuring to ensure accuracy going forward. Responsibilities: Review existing accounts and perform necessary cleanup/reconciliation Categorize transactions properly (income, expenses, assets, liabilities, etc.) Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts Ensure compliance with standard bookkeeping practices Provide accurate reports for business performance and tax preparation Set up processes/systems for ongoing bookkeeping efficiency Requirements: Proven experience in bookkeeping and account reconciliation (preferably with small businesses) Proficiency in Xero Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to identify and correct discrepancies Good communication and reporting skills Preferred: Experience with Australian accounting/tax systems (if applicable) Familiarity with small automotive/workshop businesses (bonus but not required) Project Scope: Initial cleanup and reconciliation of past months/years (as required) Ongoing monthly bookkeeping support (optional – to be discussed) Please include in your proposal: Your experience with bookkeeping and account cleanup Examples of similar projects you have completed Your availability and estimated timeline for completing the cleanup
