About the Role:

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Boning Room Foreperson at our Scone Plant. Located just 2 hours north west of Newcastle in the Beautiful Upper Hunter, you can’t go wrong.

The Right candidate will provide leadership, coordination, and support to the Fabrication Room team to ensure the attainment of production, quality/FSQA and workplace Health and Safety. This is a full-time position with annual salary higher than $76,515.00 plus superannuation.

Responsibilities:

· Knowledge of Operational tasks and skilled labour functions

· Inspects animal carcasses, internal organs, premium cuts and meat processing facilities to make sure the meat in compliance with Australian Standards

· Assist room supervisor with day-to-day operations and take direction

· Strong work ethic, with the capability to multitask and prioritise

· Display an understanding and be able to enforce the requirements for each of the SOP’s that are relevant to this department e.g. EU, Halal, SA, FRL, BSE etc.

· Maintain a positive relationship with employee’s

· Liaise with Quality Assurance officers to ensure Fabrication room meets food safety standards.

· Assist in the process to ensure that all operatives are trained up as required

· Assist in reaching production targets

Criteria:

· Good organisational and leadership Skills

· Demonstrated commitment to meeting all requirements in relation to food safety, people safety and maintenance and enhancement of brand integrity.

· Sound technical knowledge of meat processing

· Must be energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvement

· Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and practical problem-solving skills
