Proline Steel is seeking to employ 2 x Boilermaker-Welders on a full-time basis in Sydney NSW. The incumbents will be working on various client and project sites mainly in NSW and may require some inter-state travel.

The salary range offered is $77,000 to $85,000 per annum plus superannuation depending on experience, skills and professional aptitude. These roles are open to Australian citizens and Permanents Residents as well overseas professional workers.

Applicants holding an Australian equivalent Certificate IV or higher with some experience can apply. At least 3 years’ industry experience can be considered in lieu of the qualification.

Tasks and duties include:
o Mark and fabricate new or repair structural steel and other metal stock
o Bolt or arc-weld pressure vessel structures and parts together, using wrenches and welding equipment.
o Examine steel structures such as boilers, pressure vessels and tanks to locate and repair defects such as leaks, weak spots, and defective sections
o Inspect assembled vessels and individual components, such as tubes, fittings, valves, controls, and auxiliary mechanisms, to locate and repair any defects
o Lay out sheet steel and heavy metal, and locate and mark bending and cutting lines
o Position, align, and secure structural parts and assemblies to blueprints.
o Shape seams, joints, and irregular edges of metal sections and structural parts for fitting
o Expert usage of measuring tools, drawing instruments, templates and blueprints and commercial equipment
