Darwin River Tavern (DRT) is seeking to recruit a Bar Attendant Supervisor (070499).

Annual Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000. Full-time - minimum of 38 hours per week.

The Bar Attendant Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily & overall operations of the bar to ensure first class and exceptional friendly service. They report to the Head of Business Operations.
Tasks include:
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the bar including staff roster.
• Provide recommendations on beverage options to customers.
• Supply, dispense and mix beverages based on customers’ preference.
• Promote beverage products & functions.
• Arrange and attending tasting events
• Assist in the management of beverages list, including accurate sales records and controlling of stock levels.
• Cultivate relationships with suppliers/distributors.
• Understand the various legal requirements that applies to the bar and comply.
• Receipt of monies.

Qualification and demonstrated skills required
• Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate II and 2 years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) work experience or a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III with relevant post qualification work experience of at least one year (minimum 20 hours plus per week).
• Highly experienced managing shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
• Demonstrated skill in creating a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
• Demonstrated skill in supervising portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste and in maintaining regular stock take of beverage.
• A can-do attitude, dependable and a team player.
